Cotton twill exterior with a 100% cotton interior, and embroidered detailing on the chest, back and sleeves! Cotton twill does not stretch. If you are on the upper end of a size, or own a velvet jacket and find that it is snug on you, you may have to size up.

The inside lining is printed with the matching pattern to the design. 2 front pockets, and a small interior breast pocket.

Care instructions:

Spot clean as needed, or hand wash in cold water and then hang to dry.
If machine washing: please use cold water and a gentle cycle, and then hang to dry. do NOT use high heat or high spin. We recommend turning the jacket inside out and even placing into a garment bag during the wash. Agitation during washing may damage the embroidery and cause it to fray or wear down faster.

The jacket fits and feels great

The jacket fits and feels great. It looks great from a distance but i worry about the longevity of the embroidery. There are several loose threads that slowly pull out away from the pattern. There are also many threads that were shipped about a half inch away from the jacket. I got multiple jackets and this issue is consistent across them.

I'm so sorry about the thread - it should be safe to cut back and it shouldn't unravel! Sometimes the threads don't get cut back fully after the embroidery is finished, but they dont create any issues to the jacket. (hoping to have this issue worked on as we go, but this process is done by hand and the embroidery is complex, so once in a while the thread is missed)

Cozy Jacket

Craftsmanship is lovely! The little details like yellow zipper lining to match the botanicals makes me happy. Seams are stitched evenly and feel secure, button holes, lining seams are tucked away and the inner lining itself is very smooth. Couple of loose thread ends left on the seams (none on embroidery) when I got it, but those were easy enough to snip off.

If you haven't worn cotton twill before, it's worth knowing that it's quite a stiff and heavy fabric when it's brand new. It'll hold that boxy shape instead of draping on smaller frames until you break it in. Give it time, it'll eventually soften and drape to your contours a little better.

I've added a pic for comparison and fit (brand new, not broken in). I bought a size small. It feels like it's supposed to be intentionally a touch oversized (think chore coat cut). The sleeve cuffs are a little long for someone with a similar frame to me.

If you're trying to compare... I'm about 5'5". Measurements of 35" chest, 30" at narrowest part of torso, 35" hips, shoulders/back are fairly wide from rock climbing and swimming. Wearing a binder, not bra, in picture so chest circumference measurement matches with that.

Great look, great fit!

Fit was exactly as expected (compared measurements to a current jacket I like), material feels sturdy and expensive, and of course the most important part, the embroidery and colors are STUNNING! Can’t believe I’m hoping for a cold day in summer so I get a chance to wear it.
