I was really excited for this drop and had been waiting for it to be restocked for a long time. I'm so happy to have this cloak! The velvet is even prettier in person. I think the other reviews are accurate--it can be heavy while holding it or hanging it to dry, but I found the weight of the cloak to be distributed well across the whole item while wearing it, so I didn't find weight to be an issue while wearing the cloak. The cloak is so evenly weighted that it never pulls on the vest. I've worn a few items from other brands where the weight of it pulls on the back and makes me feel like I'm choking. I'm so glad that this cloak is well designed and doesn't have that issue. It drapes well over the shoulders and the vest allows for a lot of mobility for my arms. As seen in the photos, the buttons don't go all the way down and instead stop at the same height of the belt. You can see from the picture of the cotton version with the white vest that vests like this also allows for some good mobility while sitting down or bending over. I was a little worried that that might cause the bottom of the vest to flair out instead of laying flat, but I was wrong! The vest portion lays perfectly, especially so when using the belt! The hood, vest, and cloak are all lined. The hood is a little big for my tastes, but I don't wear it much anyway. The vest comes with pockets that have zippers for extra safety, so nothing ever falls out! The pockets are pretty deep, too! Overall, it's a wonderful cloak and I would recommend buying it!

This is a beautiful, extremely well made cloak. It is almost August in Texas, and I am still wearing this around the house like I'm a magical forest person lol.

The hood is large - I have a big head, so this is much appreciated. The outside velvet is super nice, the inside lining has a beautiful design to match the embroidery on the outside. The embroidery is OUTSTANDING - LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. 💚

I am 5'7" and weigh 130lbs - I got the medium because I have broad shoulders and was unsure about the vest. Could probably have gone with a small and had a better fit to look less bulky, but if I'm laying over winter clothes, the space will be appreciated. I can also leave the vest unbuttoned, yet still have my arms through it, and wear the cape with a better silhouette to my figure.

Seriously, this is gorgeous and I'm glad I purchased it - will definitely be my go-to in colder weather. My husband and kids say I look like a forest princess lol, love it!!

First thing, this is exactly as pictured. Heavy weight and super soft. Only thing I wish I had read in a review is that (at least the one I got) runs large. I could have gotten a small and still had plenty of room in the vest. I would exchange it, but I just dont have the time. I don’t even know if they have that option tbh. I guess I’ll just let myself “grow into it” over the years. Lol. It seems like it’s made well enough to last a long time.

This is my most stand out, gorgeous piece in my wardrobe now, no lie! It's beautiful, and it fits beautifully! It's perfect for spring and autumn as a light layering piece, and it makes me feel like a magical forest girl!
