Sweaters are made with a very soft 100% cotton yarn and have embroidery on the front and sleeves.

Please note that the embroidery covers large areas on the garment, and its very detailed - which results in a stiffer feeling! Sweaters aren't lined on the inside, so if you have sensory issues with the embroidery we would recommend checking out the linen or cotton twill items instead - both are lined for comfort.

Care instructions: Wash cold on a delicate cycle to preserve color and embroidery, and to keep the cotton from shrinking. Placing the sweater into a bag made for delicates can help with agitation during washing. To dry, we recommend laying the sweater flat and letting it air dry. While the garments are pre-shrunk, washing or drying with heat can cause the garment to shrink further.

I love it!

I love it! I used measurements from a close-fitting sweater but it's pleasantly loose. The quality feels great. My only gripe is the size and stiffness of the lilies on the sleeves, they're right at the height to fold when you bend your arm. The embroidery is fairly smooth on the back, though, so I don't feel compelled to wear long sleeves. The colors are slightly different from the pictures, I though the lighter color at the bottom was lavender but it's more of a muted blue but I like it more for it! I'm excited for more orbweaver designs.

Stunning sweater with heavy embroidery

Stunning sweater that is fairly comfy. The only flaw I find is that the embroidery is a bit stiffwhich can make the sleeves lay oddly. However, this inconvenience is so worth it.

Absolutely gorgeous

Absolutely gorgeous. Comfortable and warm. Arrived at the start of the cold snap which was perfect timing so it's gotten a fair amount of use. The embroidery on the sleeves was a bit too stiff right out of the package, but a soak in some water, and some regular wear have softened it up

Would buy every Morningwitch sweater if I could

I LOVE my sweater. The color is so deep and perfect, and my father-in-law said I looked like a movie star when I matched my lipstick to it.

I had the Amanita sweater already, so I knew I'd be happy with it. I'm a cotton fiend, so the weight of the 100% cotton is so satisfying. It's very heavy, and oversized. I'm usually a women's M in a lot of clothing, and an S for the button up shirts to get a relatively close fit with MW, and the sweater in S is still quite large on me (this is fine, it's meant to be oversized).

The embroidery is stiff like the listing warns: I always wear a thin layer under my sweaters anyway, to increase the number of times I can wear them before I have to wash them to make them live longer, but it was also noticeable when I bent or crossed my arms. I'll be brainstorming what to do (letting some fabric softener sink in? Just letting it soften with wear?) but official advice would be really appreciated.

Waiting with my wallet at the ready for the Velvet Night/Pride sweaters/whatever new designs tickle the Morningwitch team's fancy in colors I can wear to come or come back in my size!!
