The coat is beautiful and has a good weight. The fabric and embroidery are both pleasant to touch. I also love the zipper pockets, and they're deep pockets too! I've received several compliments already, and hope to wear.the coat for years to come.
Well worth the wait for this gorgeous work of art! Heavy fabric, solid construction, and jaw-droppingly beautiful! I was on the cusp between small and medium sizes, so I sized up per the product description. I'm glad I did. I have bigger-than-average shoulders and biceps for a cis woman and the extra room was exactly what I needed. The sleeves were slightly long on me so I just cuffed them and now I can show off the gorgeous lining all the time. I also love that the belt is two-toned so I can just flip it over to slightly tweak the overall look. The one downside: I feel like this coat has raised the bar for my entire wardrobe, so I need to up my fashion game on everything else I wear!
I went to pick up a friend at the airport and security checked me and asked if my coat had any religious or cultural significance.
10/10 would be passively threatened with a submachine gun again.
…and I am wearing this coat when I do!
I have been a big fan of the Morning Witch brand for many years. I have many of their crop tops, t-shirts, and button up shirts. I was also in the first wave of the bomber jackets and still wear my beautiful lavender bomber whenever I can. That being said, when I saw the Archfey trenchcoat, I knew I had to put it into my wardrobe since Emerald dream is slowly but surely becoming one of my favorite patterns.
Not only is this coat made from the same beautiful bomber jacket material, it has shared features like the zipper pockets. This is the perfect transition coat from late fall into the early winter months due to the coverage. Granted, I have not been able to wear it as of late because of the stupidity that is the Midwestern “autumn“ but, I have plenty of events in October that will give me an opportunity to show just how functional this beautiful piece of wearable artwork is. Job well done and I hope to see where the trenchcoat goes in the future.
Really beautiful, detailed, and warmer and sturdier than I thought it would be.
